Here are a few places in town for anyone comin' in this week.
Reading Terminal Market, 12th and Filbert St: Great place for lunches, many options with a couple of counters run by the Amish. An ok cheesteak place resides here.
Fieldhouse, 1150 Filbert St: Across from the Reading Terminal. Great TVs, food and very good bar. Very large room, good for Tourney time.
Oneal's, 611 S 3rd St: Great for TVs, and very good beer selection both bottles and draft. Smaller than the Fielhouse but it also puts you near South St and many other options.
Chickies and Petes, 1526 Packer Ave: About 4 blocks from the arena. Great TVs and bar. Known for their hardshell crabs and amazing crabfries. They also have a shuttle that runs to the arena.
Mercato, 1216 Spruce St and Ghiottone 130 N 3rd St. Two downtown BYOBs. Grab a couple of bottles of wine at one of the many downtown State Stores and hit one of these gems for Dinner. Very reasonable for the quality.
CHEESESTEAKS: Do not go to Genos, Pats or Jims. Its Philips at 23rd and Passyunk Ave. About 20 blocks from the arena. Be patient with the staff, it will be worth it. :)
