Ted Miller thinks Reggie Carter is the 20th best player in the Pac-10
Ranking the Pac-10's best players - No. 20 Reggie Carter
No. 20
Reggie Carter, LB, UCLA: It was hard for a linebacker to get much attention in LA last year with the big three at USC hogging the spotlight. But Carter could be the best linebacker in the Pac-10 this fall and don't be surprised if he plays his way into All-American consideration. He's a solid 6-foot-1, 240 with good speed and he's been productive both inside and outside for the Bruins. Last year, he moved outside due to injury issues with the LB corps and still led the Bruins with 83 tackles, which ranked 10th in the conference. Hard hitter? He forced three fumbles, which tied for fourth in the conference. He'll move back to the middle the spring and call the defensive signals.
By the way, he's still counting down from 30, so Im sure more Bruins will make their way on to the list.
Sound like pretty sweet praise to me. Go Bruins!

Our D
could be very good this upcoming season. We have playmakers with experience at each level of our D. We are very fortunate that Reggie and ATV came back. We’ll need them to hold down things down while our O gets going.
Very exciting time for UCLA Football.

Price
I imagine Brian Price will be a top 10 or top 5 player on that list.

ATV should also be up there
in the top 15 at least – I’d argue he’s the best corner in the pac 10 this year

our defense
our defense in the past few years has been simply phenomenal. I mean, when we talk 13-9, we’re talking a defensive victory, right?
I have faith, though, that under CRN and the Yoda of Westwood, our offense will be back to a level of play that contends the mid to late 90s, and likely, may exceed it. honestly the cards are there to start making UCLA a powerhouse again
but now Im just ranting

phenomenal? um, no. Good, yes. But phenomenal to me would imply consistent solid play resulting in wins or close losses. We’ve been caught napping/unprepared at times & have been blown out. Hopefully the new DC can continue building the defense & our offensive coaches can develop a consistent offense. I think we’re on the right path with the last 2 recruiting classes on both sides of the ball. Well, I would like to see more OL & DL (especially DTs) but who wouldn’t.
