You know what is worse
Congresswoman Diane Watson is a UCLA graduate.

It’s especially funny considering that of dozens of Senators and Representatives interviewed, all said that they had “not enough time” to read through Obama’s national financial aid proposal.
Good to know that they have their priorities straight.

Time for another campaign?
Whereas USC has fielded an unprecedented number of felons, and
Whereas USC has directly and indirectly violated a number of NCAA stipulations, and
Whereas USC has twice walked off the field, refusing to shake hands with the victors, and
You get the point.

WTF?
Isn’t there an economy to salvage, or is that fixed already?

Hey, not like there's more pressing matters
Than glorifying a semi-pro team that thinks they’re above the law. Yes, this seems like an excellent use of Congress’ time. And these jokers wonder why they have approval ratings in the 20s.

Not an isolated act of congress, sadly
Seemingly every professional, collegiate, and medium to large state HS champion will have a member of congress submit such a resolution. Had to be a trojie in DC that could have done it, in her place however.

But they won the Rose Bowl
not the national championship, so what the F is there to recognize? That’s what gets me.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

exactly
i get congratulating a team for winning a championship. But winning the Rose Bowl is essentially equivalent to making the Final Four, which we’ve done 3 straight times…it’s a top 4 finish in the country. so where’s our recognition?

ROFLMAO - this is the most ridiculous
example of the $C PR department trying to get some air time. This is clearly not written by any congressman (or if it is, how on God’s good earth does s/he have time to organize all those ‘facts’?)
If anything, I would be embarrassed if I was an $C alum. This is plain bullsh*t propaganda.

Watson
First, I am a true bruin fan (season ticket holder in hoops and football), I’m a graduate, have autographed Aikmen, Kareem, Karros, Edney, Wooden, Wilkes, etc. memorabilia. I have UCLA license plates. And I work for UCLA.
But just wanted to clear something up on Watson. She is a UCLA grad. She does have USC in her district. But, she has her office painted Blue and Gold. She has UCLA photos and banners in her office. She makes phone calls to recruit students to UCLA. She speaks to the alumni club in DC on a regular basis and always has said she has the toughest job in Congress. “She represents USC, but her hear and sould is at UCLA.” She even tried to get UCLA in her district during the last round of reapportionment.

Appropriate typo?
sould = soul sold

Good catch with "sould"
I’m sure she goes to church on Sunday, loves her mom and dad, respects the flag and is nice to kids. Even with all that, she “sould” with this business about justsc. It would have taken no effort at all to do nothing. If some justsc “grad” (and I use that term loosely) had complained that she hadn’t pandered to Cheatie Petie in this way, she could easily have said that she was too busy with the important business of the country to bother with things like that. Or is she actually believed in all the stuff that Zerokids said about her, she could have responded by saying that she was a Bruin and wouldn’t in a million years sponsor that sort of resolution.
That’s not what she did though. She didn’t ignore it. She didn’t campaign against it. She didn’t vote against it. She SPONSORED it. She thinks its a great idea to honor that (you fill in appropriate adjectives) place. Diane, as far as I’m concerned, you can get the painters into your office and get rid of the Blue and Gold paint. Actions speak louder than walls. You are a ketchup and mustard person to me.
