"The Most Difficult Feat in Team Sports"
I saw an interesting article highlighting how difficult it is to win on the road in college basketball. I know the stats are swung a lot in favor of major programs who invite smaller schools to their house for preseason games but I still think it is a great indication of what an EXCELLENT job our coach and his staff are doing to prepare our team game in and game out. May we never take it for granted~!

The article also says . . .
Indeed, the leagues in which road teams fare the best are often the ones that have made a point of maintaining steady routines. The Pacific-10 Conference is the prime example. In the Pac-10, teams play back-to-back road games over a weekend — Thursdays and either Saturday or Sunday. The conference, which stretches from Washington to Arizona, has done this for decades to limit travel. As a result, teams typically have an equal amount of rest when they play each other. In each of the past four seasons, the Pac-10 has led the six major collegiate conferences in the performance of road teams during league play.
And the author quotes a Big Ten guy who bemoans the change from Saturday-Monday to any-day-of-the-week. Perhaps another factor is the true round-robin, which means every team sees every other team twice a year.
