As far OT as you can get

I know we'll have better things to discuss today, but I saw a headline that it looks like A-Roid is going to need hip surgery.  Seat-of-the-pants opinions aside, are there any scientists in the BN who can offer a real opinion based on real evidence as to whether the use of steroids (even those legal when taken, or even if the taker thought it was vitamins) caused the condition requiring the surgery.

I majored in econ, so I am very qualified to render an opinion.  I say yes, because if 'roids will cause your private parts to shrivel and fall off, they might also affect the hip, which in many cases is not too far from the package.
