The UCLA Experience: One of a kind
Kevin Love said in an interview with 790 The Zone recently that he would have likely tested the draft waters out of high school had the NBA not required that players go to college for at least one season.
"I probably would have tested the waters but like I've been saying, I wouldn't have traded in that UCLA experience for anything," Love said. "There's so many things that went in to it: we had the sunshine out there in Westwood, the beaches, good looking girls, and the basketball of course..."

I'm glad to hear it
And obviously being “forced” to go to college for a year can be looked at as a restriction, or, if you’re KLove, as an opportunity. It seems to me that he fully embraced the opportunity presented here and I’m glad he was here even if it was only for one year.
Had the rule not been in place, I think he would have gone straight into the NBA, but that doesn’t make me think less of him, because the reality is that he was and is a Bruin.

Love's comment sounds like Mayo's
You know, I think I heard OJ2 say the same thing about his experience at justsc. “We had the smog, the drive-by shootings, good looking plasma TV’s, and the credit card of course.”
