Former UCLA football head coach Bill Barnes passed away today at 91. Coach Barnes led our program from 1958 to 1964. In 1960 Coach Barnes led the Bruins to a record of 7-2-1 with All-America tailback Bill Kilmer. In 61 Coach Barnes won the AAWU (now Pac-10) championship and took the Bruins to the Rose Bowl. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. You will be missed by the UCLA community Bill Barnes.
