Petey is going to have to sacrifice another chicken or something. But, honestly, it is a damning testament to Petey’s lack of true coaching ability that he has wasted so much talent. He has played for two NCs and won only one. Meanwhile LSU and Florida have each played for and won two. Ohio State and Oklahoma have each played in more NC games while only winning one.

I think their (USC’s) game plan all along has been to just win the PAC 10 every year and get in the Rose Bowl. Assuming that every four years they will play a NC game in their own backyard. But, the Big 10 hasn’t held up it’s end of the bargain by producing World Class Worthy Opponents. Worse still, USC managed to lose the last NC game held at the Rose Bowl.
