UCLA FB loses two more players
Per Tracy Pierson, WR Dominique Johnson and RB Raymond Carter are set to transfer out of UCLA. I'm disappointed to see Johnson go, as I think he has an immense amount of untapped talent. Whether he was ever going to realize it or not remains to be seen, but I would have liked for him to given it another shot while in a UCLA uniform.
Carter's story is unfortunate as injury robbed him of a chance to show what he could really do. Maybe he'll be able to move down a level and get some playing time for a D-II (I'll never call it FCS) team.

I never got a chance to see DJ in practice
But I got the distinct impression that he didn’t work very hard (I remember hearing this a couple of different times…even from DJ himself IIRC). Maybe he thought he could get by on talent alone. I guess I can understand a kid who would want to transfer if they are buried on the depth chart after not getting a chance on the field…but DJ was given every opportunity in the world to be the go-to guy. He just didn’t rise to the challenge like TA did. Good luck to him.
Go Bruins.

GL to both
This is not meant to bash but DJ never caught on. He has a lot of talent but he never turned it on. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good.
Really sad to see Raymond leave. Just wished he never hurt his knee. Our backfield is stacked with young backs with potential and it was clear from the reports that he was not at the top of the pecking order.
There will be more attrition as we are still over the limit.
