This is me, holding my son Jake in the end zone. He was 4 months old in this pic.
You can't see it but he's wearing a UCLA shirt and I'm wearing a "Howland is my Homeboy" shirt.

I love it!
After the Spring Game, my brother tells me his 4 year old was chanting UC! LA! All the way home in the back seat.
A few days later my good friend told me that the following day her two boys aged 3 and 5 were waving their little blue pom poms they picked up at the game and chanting UC! LA!
It warms my Bruin Heart to no end!

Awesome. Love the pic.
How’d you get on the field? Very cute little boy.
I need to pull my head out of my arse and figure out how to post some pics of my little one wearing the Bruin blue (or pink—she’s a girl).
The brainwashing begins at birth.
Oh, that.
My wife was enrolled in Lady Bruins 102 and I was the designated baby watcher. I was able to accompany my wife from the locker room to the field. The UCLA/ Rose Bowl staff was extremely cool.

Skip the pink
Go with gold. They didn’t have any girl sports stuff when I was growing up (note profile picture) and I turned out just fine (though as I got older, it would have been nice to have the women’s jerseys they have now).

And what a nice name --
Jake “The Snake” Rotten. (As you know, all kids named “Jake” become “Jake the Snake” as soon as they go to big-boy Huggies.)
(Deep voice with lots of resonance – “And starting at quarterback for your UCLA Bruins – Jake the Snake Rotten”)
Sweet ...
but I’d just be happy with him qualifying for admission – he’s 5 months old, haha!

It does indeed start early
My pre-K little girl recites to me at homework time “I’ve got to study hard if I want to go to UCLA!”
Wonderful stories
I read “UCLA 101” to my little one and he/she won’t be here until October. We find out next week if it’s a Joe or Josie.
I love the Avatar Bruinbabe!
what is UCLA 101? (probably a duh question, huh?)

It's a picture book
It shows things like the Bruin Bear, sports teams, Coach Wooden, etc. It also teaches colors and numbers. They make them for other schools, but it was the first thing I bought for the baby. Teaching the Bruin way can’t start early enough for me.

And to show you how the teaching works
That picture was taken during the 1983 Rose Bowl at Uncle BB’s house. I knew by age 4 there was only one place I wanted to go for college, thanks to Uncle BB and my old man.

Where can I get it?
I have a little one due in two months! Congrats to you as well!
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
I got mine on Amazon
When the baby gets older, we will get “Inches and Miles” by Coach, if someone else doesn’t get it for us first (I think it’s geared for 5, 6 year-olds).

Wow, I never knew Coach had written kid's books!
Amazon has some bundled; my daughter will love them.
Tasser
Believe it or not, I got mine in the mini-mart of a gas station at the corner of Santa Monica and Westwood Boulevard, just a little bit of south of Wilshire. But Amazon, as BB2000 mentioned, might be more convenient.
Thanks guys!
Definitely on the shopping list!
