espn to televise rose bowl
just read in the register that espn will televise the rose bowl in 2011. this now gives them the rights to all the major bowls. they also radio broadcast the suc games. is it really to much of a stretch to think of what influence they will now have on schedules, game times, bowl match ups and such? also, could they put pressure on the ncaa about sucs penalties concerning the probe of their football team? espn would not want to lose a sure ratings bringer like the suck ass trojans. whoops, a little vent there. seriously, this does concern me. any thoughts?

I don't think they'll have any power over USC
but what I think this makes even clearer is the need for the Pac-10 to be on ESPN. Whether you like the WWL or not, they are THE place for college football (and basketball). The the Pac-10 wants great exposure, then it has to be on ESPN.

abc
the rose bowl has been on abc for as long as i can remember, so a change to espn really makes no difference considering the abc braodcasts are “espn on abc” and use espn graphics.

Not no difference
It is a different channel, which isn’t available over the air.
