Jordan Farmar and Trevor Ariza at Lakers Championship Rally
Nearly a quarter of a million of fans (representing about half of the 534,400 unemployed in LA county - yeah, we could use some good news), including 80,000 in the mausoleum, showed up Wednesday to celebrate the Lakers' NBA Championship. We're proud of our two Bruins who played significant roles during the season and the playoffs. Let's hope free-agent Ariza gets locked up in a nice long contract.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Don't know if anyone saw this....
Josh Shipp was one of Farmar’s guests on the bus ride and at the rally. UCLA family baby!!!!
Bruin-4-Life!!!
I did not see it
But I heard about it from a friend. That is nice. And will no doubt become a regular clip on recruiting videos.
A coach is someone who can give correction without causing resentment. John Wooden
I'm not surprised
Those two are attached at the (surgically repaired) hip!
Watch the “Living with Luke” or whatever the Luke Walton videos were that he did. Jordan popped up quite a bit on those segments, and Josh always popped up. I actually really liked the yoga one.
Great stuff
Luke Walton’s comments were great, too. He pointed out that his championship was better than his father’s because Luke won for a better franchise than the one Bill won his with (that rotten gangrene-colored team in the Northeast).
The big redhead won two
He won his first with portland in his prime, where he actually outplayed Kareem in the western confrence finals.

Good catch
I totally forgot about the Blazers. David Halberstam’s “The Breaks of the Game” is one of my all-time favorite sports books, too (about the Blazers).
I was at....
the Coliseum and we started to chant UCLA when Farmar was announced. It was a crazy day!
One of my sorority sisters commented on her Facebook
“I’ve never seen the Collesium look so good,” though another friend asked if UCLA wins there also counted.

Both LA Universities well represented in the organization.
Let’s also not forget that Kareem is an assistant coach for the team. And Mitch Kupchak, who really pulled off some great trades the past couple of seasons, has an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.
Of course, it would be fair if we didn’t mention the Trojan presence in the organization. Tex Winter can have a drink on me any time. It’s amazing that those guys on the other side have accomplished so little in college basketball when one of their own came up with such an amazing system. It’s funny how the Triangle helped a couple of Bruins in Jordan and Trevor win NBA rings.
And that Wyoming grad, Jerry Buss, is one of the greatest owners in sports, despite his Ph.D from USC. Buss is smart. He knows that if you want to accomplish anything great in this world, you need Bruins. And using your daughter as bait to keep the greatest coach of all time around is a brilliant move. DUI on! Sorry. I meant Fight On, you orange haired son of a gun you. Do me a favor and sell the team to Henry Samueli.
