Maybe he knows how to say "good" and "nice" in Mandarin, too
Seeing Barack Obama was good and nice. Seeing China was fun, nice, and cool. RW, why didn’t you spend more time in class learning to express how you really feel? As exciting as it is to see RW’s skills on the court, I wish his two-and-through program had made RW a more eloquent and thoughtful communicator. I mean, seeing the President and flying to China…c’mon, there must be more you can say about that!
I'll Make A Deal With You, Bryan
When you spend your summer meeting our nation’s President, and traveling to China, and then wax eloquently about it to an NBA team reporter’s somewhat simplistic questions, we shall give you all due breathless praise for your advanced use of adjectives. In the meantime, please appreciate the message, if not its style.
I have never seen any issue come up with either Russell’s attendance or grades at UCLA. He has always been genuine, straight forward, polite, respectful, and humble in every interview I’ve ever heard him do. He never misses an opportunity to credit his coach, teammates and family for his own successes, and he is consistently, relentlessly positive.

Uhhh
He spent 20 seconds with the President, just taking a picture. What do you want him to talk about, his aura? His cologne? He didn’t take a tour of China, he went to play with kids.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
Enough said?
Sorry guys, I guess my message came across as rather harsh, as did some of your responses. Russell clearly didn’t get to chat with the President, so there wasn’t much he could have said about that. I have always been a big fan of Russell, though, so I was hoping he would have something more interesting to say when given an open-ended question. It doesn’t take long on a visit to any foreign country to learn something new and share it with others. Anyway, it’s fun to see Bruins traveling the world and spreading goodwill.
