Mitch Mustain Enrolling In Senora Rosa's Class This Summer?
What should we label a genius who has "academic eligibility issues at U$C*?:
USC quarterback Mitch Mustain is attempting to resolve academic issues that could affect his eligibility for the coming season, Coach Pete Carroll confirmed Monday.
Carroll would not specify the issues and said there was "no timeline" or deadline for Mustain to resolve them. The Trojans report for training camp Aug. 7 and open their season Sept. 5 against San Jose State.
Asked if Mustain would be eligible if USC played tomorrow, Carroll said, "We don't have a game tomorrow." Mustain could not be reached for comment.
Mustain, a fourth-year junior who transferred to USC from Arkansas in 2007, finished spring practice third on the depth chart behind sophomore Aaron Corp and freshman Matt Barkley.
Mustain has said he would not consider transferring and that he's close to graduating from USC. If Mustain were ineligible, senior Garrett Green would become the No. 3 quarterback.
What's the problem here? Ball room dancing courses were full?

Don't you hate it when . . .
you bring in a good nerdy student to “tutor” your back up QB and do his homework for him, write his papers; and then the little shit decides to focus on his own studies instead!? Gawd! Don’t they know that with the NCAA breathing down their necks, the last thing they need is for the ghost students to slack off on a player’s obligations?! Dang!
A coach is someone who can give correction without causing resentment. John Wooden
Great decision
MM’s decision to leave Arkansas is looking better and better all the time, hmm?
I hate to say this but everytime I hear or read this guy’s full name, I think of some specific dialogue from Caddyshack. I don’t want to get too specific here because it’s definitely off color. Anyone feel the same or am I the only sick one?
I love how he is close to graduating
yet can’t meet minimum NCAA requirements for playing.
Only at SUC…

The more I think about it, the more I think Silver's analysis of the situation is perfect.
Close to graduating, but resolving academic issues.
I suspect that we will find that he is close to resolving his academic issues (academic issues are ALWAYS resolved at just$c*), but that he isn’t close to graduating and never will be. He’s undoubtedly whatever the minumum load is to keep his eligibility (including wood shop and Senora Ross’s class), but when football ends, so will his “education.” No evidence here, just an assumption.
Exactly, and labeled as such.
But the quotes attributed to Mustain and Cheatie Petie aren’t opinion. Those are fact. You have a guy who is academically ineligible but close to graduation. That sounds incongruous to me. One would think that being close to graduation would automatically take care of eligibility, but apparently not at just$c.*
I’m still waiting for the delivery of facts to support your theories about Timmeh, but I’m not holding my breath waiting for your to deliver.
Here’s a real question – not something intended to get you worked up. You had two guys go to the nba in the first round, plus one first rounder a year ago. That is undeniable talent. Nonetheless, the trOJans never seem to get over the proverbial hump. Many Bruins attribute that to poor coaching by Floyd. What is the consensus among the trOJans, if there is one, about Floyd’s proficiency as a coach? (Most Bruins thought he was horrible, and were sad to see him go.)
Yeah go to $UC*
Where you can give up being a stud at Arkansas and end up 3rd string at $UC*. Let this be a lesson to any kid who is dazzled by Cheatie Petey’s antics and forgoes a better route only to end up 3rd or 4th string at $UC*.
Petey doesn’t want back-ups, he wants to keep the talent away from everyone else. In the music industry, when you have a good band that could be signed by a rival company and whose demographic will take away from your product, you sign them, make a record for them and put it on the shelf un-promoted. It’s called SHELVING.
Troy will fall.
When is the fall?
I want to write this down, and readdress at the predicted time. Please enlighten us.
DFW
Looks pretty clear you are coming here just to troll and start flame wars. If you post one more comment trying to bait anyone here into a flame war, you will be gone. This is your only warning. Thank you.
Damn Nestor
They keep saying you’re an a$$hole, but from what I can tell you’re an alright guy. DFW tell you how I got bounced from the $UC* site? I was banned because I wrote something their moderator didn’t like on ANOTHER (Michigan) site.
When you actually see the antics of other moderators, your opinion of N goes way up.
Sorry if this was a bit off topic.
Troy will fall. (I don’t know when it will happen, but it will. Till then, that catch-phrase stays and all of my negative energy towards your shitey little team.)

I can't translate it, but I think I deserve an A anyway, because I recognize that it's in Spanish.
Shouldn’t that be enough? After all, if someone says something that I recognize to be in Spanish, I can probably find someone who can translate it.
If you can't translate it
you get a B

Ah...Senora Ross doesn't grade on Spanish language abilities
she grades on how much she is LIKED by her students. So, tecnically, just bring her some flowers and chocolate to class on the first day and you get an A!

I am SO impressed with your efforts
that it was a very complicated sentance to translate. I am amazed some of you even knew it was Spanish. A’ s all around for everyone. Send my regards to Cheatey.
- Sra. Rosa
Not gunna lie
I’m taking a class right now that is as easy or about as easy as what I’ve heard about Senora Ross’ class
