Stephen (Fl): Darren, will u miss UCLA?
Darren Collison: Aw man..I will more than miss it. Just hearing that question, it gets me stuck answering it. It's a great organization and a great staff. You can't have anything better than being at UCLA for four years.

NOTHING BUT CLASS!
DC is always nothing but class…really hoping he will do well in the NBA. Through everything, he is always loyal to UCLA and Coach.
If we continue to do well in recruiting, DC deserves so much credit for always showing what UCLA is all about.

OT a bit
came in late and found draft thread closed, so will put this here.
Re: Jrue Holiday. Dude had no business leaving for the NBA. Should have put in another year or two honing his skills as a PG and could have parlayed that into a 1-5 pick and, more importantly, could have stepped in right away to help his NBA team and develop into an All-Star caliber player. I have serious doubts he will get the opportunity to do this with the 76ers.
I saw several comments from posters endorsing Jrue’s decision to leave early on the premise that he could have a career-ending injury playing for UCLA. Huh? First, every high-profile player of his caliber has a 7, maybe 8 figure insurance policy protecting him from such a scenario. Second, and perhaps more importantly, career-ending injuries can happen anytime, anywhere. I don’t buy this rationale.
Finally, congrats to a true Ben Ball Warrior DC. NO is getting a high-character guy who can step in right away a contribute valuable minutes. I will be rooting for him for his entire career.

JS and AA2 go undrafted
No surprise there, bur JS’s older brother plays in Europe so he should be able to find a good spot there and know what he’s in for and AA2 can be a good player overseas.

Sad :-(
I thought PAA might have an outside chance at the NBA. Good luck to both of them. Great Bruins!

Truly sad
Why would you take a Chase Budinger over a PAA? One makes your team tougher, gives 200% every day and does anything you ask him to do. The other one has hops. I just don’t get their mentality.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

I don't disagree
and I was a little surprised that PAA didn’t get drafted. On the other hand, he can play in the D-League or overseas and I think he’s strong enough—both physically and mentally—and dedicated enough to earn a spot on a team. Frankly, the Lakers could use someone exactly like him. The rotten Celtics have had several guys like him on their team for the last couple years and they play serious minutes.
I truly believe that if he wants to be in the NBA, he will find a way to get there.

I hope you're right
The league really could use more guys like him. One of my favorite, if not favorite, UCLA athletes.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

Great situation for DC
Everything I had heard going in to the draft led me to believe that DC was at best going to end up in the mid 20s to Dallas, Portland or Denver. When Lawson was traded to Denver, I got worried for DC, but he really couldn’t have ended up in a better place than NO.
Not only will DC get to play behind Chris Paul, but I think you may see some of them together. We all know that DC is a great shooter and have been wishing that he play a little 2 guard. Well with Paul at point, DC might get a chance to spot up and knock down some 3s much like Janerro Pargo did for the Hornets 2 years ago and what they were lacking this year. Also, getting to be coached by a great guard like Byron Scott will no doubt help DC in his growth as a professional point guard.

Not only am I excited for DC
but I am happy for Westbrook as well. He has worked his butt off this last year and was rewarded today when OKC took a stand and said “Westbrook is our guy” by drafting Harden and not Rubio.
