This is from this morning's paper. The LAT has finally taken notice of Timmeh's increasing troubles across town. In fact, Timmeh may actually be forced to use Lil Romeo as a player next year. He was recruited for his playing skills, right?

Good times.

No, Timmeh doesn't sound bitter at all
“Our guys get an offer from Islamabad and they’re gone.”
“We have lost eight players early, more than any other program in recent seasons,” Floyd said. “I think Florida has lost five. Florida won back-to-back national titles and hasn’t been back to the NCAA tournament since. It catches up with you.”

Uh, you’re not Florida, Timmeh. You haven’t even come CLOSE to that. Tool.

Staying in school ...

presumes that school is a part of the experience. The reasons that the players stayed at Kansas is that Kansas has “student/athletes” instead of paid players.

When you hire players, your hold on them is their paycheck and it is a competitive market.

So little loyalty to coach and school.

Eat your heart out Timmeh and while you are eating, think “DC” who honored both his coach and school and came back for his final year.

Agreed

But I think many of us would have cheered and been happy for DC had he gone pro after his 3rd year. I’m glad he came back though!

I counted 5 mentions of the NCAA investigation

That is more mentions than in the previous 5 months. I guess the Times is trying to get caught up.

The media is setting up Timmeh! to take the fall

for Garrett and Carroll. They will do whatever it takes to protect SUC football

I agree

The more I keep seeing about the hoops program, the more fearful I am that they will take the hit. I mean, they should take a part of the hit, but football shoult NOT get away unscathed. No one cares about basketball over there and I’m sure they are more than willing to throw that program under the bus to save petey’s and his punks. Makes me sick. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed.

When I saw SUC alumni/apologist/beatwriter Wolf join in

on the Floyd bashing, I knew the SUC types had decided he would be the fall guy.

There are probably Bekins guys standing outside Timmeh's office with some moving equipment right now.

Just imagine how many sore necks there are at just$c* from people whipping their heads around to avert their gaze when he walks by. I suppose Mrs. Timmeh has to screen all their calls and all their mail. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Timmeh started keeping some of the money he was supposed to be passing on to his players. That’s assuming he still has any players.

They're all gone

More money to be made playing in Islamabad.

Islamabad can offer MORE money than SUC?

Man, the recession hits hard, even SUC’s Super Secret Slush fund.

Correction

My bad. I meant Islamabad is safer than playing and living around SC*.

In a way, the story is misleading

The whole concept is based on the proposition that Timmeh had a legitimate program at one point. There is no criticism at all of Timmeh in the article, which allows the inference that Timmeh has nothing to do with any of the SCandals. In fact, Timmeh’s program has never been legitimate. In fact, Timmeh is behind everything at just$c*.

There should never be a story about just$c* basketball that does not include direct criticism of Timmeh.

Why should they?

If they don’t get to criticize Petey, they shouldn’t get to criticize Tim.

website hits

I think we should all make sure to visit the links on the LAT website. The more hits they have the more they may be persuaded to do more investigation on this and similar topics. Just like we refuse to post links to garbage, we need to increase traffic on the articles that we care about. Behavioral modification and such!

Agree to a point

Now that they’ve printed something, we should clidk on it. But how do you click on things they don’t print?
