Tim Floyd Resigns!
It looks like things finally took their toll and the savior of FigTech's bball program is gone. Looks like he is taking the the brunt of it for Carroll and the academic "miscount". How much longer can $C keep up with damage control? That's a lot all at once...although the football program has really avoided the spotlight recently.
This from the WWL http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4246625.
First fanpost..sorry if the format is lousy. Go Bruins!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

academic “miscount”? Floyd has nothing to do with that. I really didn’t see this coming this soon. There’s something the rest of us don’t know. Yahoo, anyone?

ANyone else find this unusual?
From the ESPN article:
USC spokesperson Tim Tessalone said the university found out about Floyd’s resignation just before 7 p.m. ET when it read his letter on the Clarion-Ledger Web site.
Why would the university have to hear about his resignation second hand?

Floyd to Mississippi State
… isn’t that where Sidney is headed?
and the plot thickens

Why not? It's the USC Roundball Graveyard..
He will follow in the steps of Bob Boyd (a.k.a., “Boobus Boydus”) to toil in the humid Mississippii clime in relative anonymity.
God, it's great to be a Bruin!

The man who was chosen to fall on the sword
That’s all this is, he’s the fall guy. We all know it. This “resignation” was done solely to appease the NCAA and protect the lifeblood that is Toejam football.
Though I will miss seeing his tantrums on the sidelines, they were comedy GOLD and you could count on them like clockwork. Extra 2-3 points in any given game.

But he was innocent!
Lol. The walls are crumbling and the rats are leaving the ship.

The rats were leaving the ship when the recruits and players left
This is the captain jumping off. Now they’ll have to build a new ship from scratch.
