Scott Wolf pretty much sums it up:
"The signing of O.J. Mayo pretty much ruined the USC basketball program."

I remember when Fox used to say
That he didn’t think OJ2 would ever see the court at SUC. Well he may have been wrong about that, but I’m sure he’s more than happy to be wrong considering what has happened because of it.

I need to be careful what I predict
I was confident that something would really blow up with that guy before the season started, not after it ended. If the trOJie trolls had listened to Uncle Fox 71 and fired OJ2 instead of paying him that huge salary, they might not be wearing the blindfold and puffing that last cigarette.

SUC fans
are going to petition that the letters O and J be stricken from the alphabet.

I remember discussing this on this sight
and the concensus was Floyd was building a program using shortcuts, and although he would have quicker immediate success (unlike Howland’s first two seasons) he would not build anything sustainable.

I always get screwed up with homonyms when I type fast.

I Respectfully Disagree With Wolf Here
The USC basketball program was already well on its way to abject ruin before OJ Mayo’s involvement in it.

I Agree with 83
It was the Timmeh hire that doomed and already weak program.
Whether it was OJ2 or some other player, the fact that Timmeh had no inner compass meant that the program would hit the rocks, sooner or later.
Actually, in my eyes, it is Garrett whose lack of direction that has aimed the entire sc athletic department at the rocks. The fact that he has been able to avoid collisions, to date, does not mean that he will always be able to do so.

BTW — If Sample does not do something positive — he too will be tainted.

They're all tainted
Timmeh, Cheatie Petie, Garrett: Does anyone think “integrity” when those names are mentioned? Sample, of course, will claim that he knew nothing, but he knows something now and I haven’t seen anything happen. One dead body pitched overboard, but the the infestation hasn’t been rooted out.
