UCLA U$C* football listed as #4 in top current rivalries

Really interesting to see that Pat Frode listed UCLA vs. U$C* as the 4th hottest football rivalry. He even got into the recent "kids on the sideline" issue. I'm not a huge fan of the overall UCLA coverage by ESPN. But this wasn't too shabby for such a mainstream column. He even took a passing shot at Karl Dorrell "Neuheisel's popping off returned some pugnacity to a rivalry softened by the passive demeanor of former UCLA coach Karl Dorrell" The full article is here.

I like Pat Forde

But, I’m afraid to say he’s working entirely on conjecture. There has been no rivalry since the late 80s. The pendulum has swung in their favor while we held it throughout the 90s. Good to see that he recognizes CRN’s passion and the momentum we are building. Forde is positioning himself to be able to say, “I told you so” when Rick rubs Cheat Carroll’s proverbial nose in it.
