Meet our 2009-10 UCLA Dance team. Apparently the new 09-10 UCLA spirit squad members were announced this week. You can read all about it (with more pictures) on the Spirit Squad's website here. Congrats to all the members who made this year's team and are returning from last year's team. The picture above just is just another proof of why everyone wants to go to UCLA. GO BRUINS.

There seem to be a lot more kids on these various teams than when I was an undergrad. What exactly is the difference in the Cheer team and the Yell team or whatever they’re called?
Well Fox, I will enlighten you
Yell Crew is the student body version of Geoffrey Strand (every man, woman, and child). The dance team, well, dances, and are the ones that you see on tv most of the time and in SI. The cheer squad are the one that do the traditional stunting and pyramids.
If you still fail to see the difference/need for all of these separate groups, I don’t blame you.
