It Doesn't Pay To Whine(art)
Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Arizona Cardinals have brought in Brian St. Pierre, a 29-year-old 5th round pick who has thrown one pass in six years, to compete with overrated blowhard Matt Leinart for the backup spot behind Kurt Warner.
I'd like to wish the best of luck to the aforementioned Mr. St. Pierre. I'm sure he has more class than his competition.

I saw it, too.
It doesn’t speak well of my character to admit this, but I kind of like it when guys like Whineart have their arrogance shoved down their throats just a little.
I wouldn't feel too bad...
…because Leinart can wipe his tears with $100 bills. Funny how a backup QB can be a millionaire and a teacher can live in (near) poverty. Ah, a discussion for another day.
Go Bruins.
Backup QB must be a great job
Getting off topic from this trojie … but seriously, being a backup NFL QB must be one of the best jobs in the world. That is, if one doesn’t have too big an ego and need to be in the spotlight. Think about it, you “work” about 5 months a year, most of that time holding a clipboard and getting to see NFL games live, you do some reps in practice, go to events and parties and take home a couple million $$ a year. AND… you aren’t getting hit by snarling 290-pound lunatics. So the career can last for up to 15 years easy.
Easy money and faithless women, red-eye whiskey for the pain...
Paging Cheatey Petey
That extra year in school really helped Leinart in the NFL, huh? Not so much. We’ll see how “Dirty” Sanchez does.
Reggie Bust hasn’t done very well, either. Carroll recruits lots of good college players but they haven’t lived up to the hype on the next level.
Contrast with Coach Howland’s players who seem to be all over the NBA. Yes, different sports, but teaching is teaching.
