Bruins' State of Mind: Anxious, Excited & "Ready To Fight"
While fire is raging in on the mountain UCLA players are getting anxious and ready for Saturday. Per Jon Gold's quick post-practice wrap up in the DN blog, players " do not want to see this game postponed."
You can sense the tenacity and excitement from the press clipping from last 2-3 days. Kevin Prince is anxious but excited to get it going for the first time in two years:
"I'm already thinking about it," Prince said. "The night before, I'll be nervous about getting out there again, playing in front of all those people. I'll be excited too."
Reggie Carter told Robert Kuwada of Bruin Report Online he and his team-mates are 'ready to fight':
Every day. It’s like, every day we go out there against our offense and with camp you get tired and stuff like that, but when it’s a team period, when all 11 of us get together, everybody just wants to win. It’s like we’re going to a fight – so what if we’re tired. We don’t want to lose this fight. It’s 'Come on, man, it’s time to fight again. Let’s fight.' And it’s like everybody is ready to fight."
And here is how ATV ended his blogpost at the end of his last fall camp:
All in all, it was a successful camp and I am just overjoyed about the chance to play at this great university for one last year. I'm just full of adrenaline and anxiousness. This is going to be a real special year, and it starts in one week!! Time to get your popcorn ready and enjoy the show!!
We can't wait.
GO BRUINS.

I bet he’d make a good BenBall Warrior. I love his attitude – a great leader AND a great teammate. That, plus mad skills… We’re lucky to have this guy.

I also love
How he gives us a look into his family in his weekly blogposts. It tells us a lot about the kid.
