Yahoo! Sports Shows MJD More Love
Bumped. GO BRUINS. -N
Out today, Yahoo! Sport's Brandon Funston is making a case that our own MJD deserves to be on top of everyone's fantasy football draft boards this coming season.

Now, the conventional wisdom is that Adrian Peterson is the default No. 1 pick for fantasy football players. Not so fast says Funston:
1. Consider that Peterson has not finished among the top three RBs in fantasy points per game in either his rookie or sophomore campaign.
2. Consider that in those past two seasons, MoJo has outproduced him in yards per touch (5.50 to 5.43) and TDs per touch (.049 to .036).
3. Consider that MoJo, in a platoon role, was second among RBs in ’08 in receptions (62) while a full-time Peterson ranked just 44th (21), one reception better than Cedric Benson.
The numbers don't lie. MJD is legit. In other words
Simply put, MoJo is dynamic in all facets of the game, be it short-yardage, between the 20s, receiving, blocking, durability ... you name it. And the biggest issue people have with him (his size) is actually a benefit as he’s easily lost by the defense in a crowd and his low, stout frame makes it hard for defenders to deliver a solid lick.
Now, you may not agree with Funston. A lot of fantasy football guys will consider AP the No. 1 pick without hesitation.
But Bruins, look at it this way. MJD is being seriously debated as the top fantasy football player with the likes of Adrian Peterson. That says something.
And it makes you wonder what ever happened to that over-hyped poser from U$C. I think his name was Reggie something. Maybe Reggie Bust? I'm not sure since he has been unheard of since he took a pay cut and left U$C for the NFL.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

It's going to be an interesting year for MJD
With Fred Taylor gone, he is the main man now for the Jags, and I don’t know if they made any improvements to their O-line in the off season. Still, I think it would be hard for a fantasy football manager to pass up Adrian Peterson. He is pretty much the only offense Minnesota has and their O-line is pretty good.
But if it was me, I would have a hard time passing up MJD. He’s my favorite UCLA football player from my aluma days.

My first round pick last year
And I won’t hesitate to pick him again.

i'd pick AD....
but only because I think I could trade AD quickly for MJD and another pick. Debates aside, he’ll still be undervalued.

Reggie Bust
such a bust that even Kim KardASSian dumped him.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
