Found: Lane Kiffin's Playbook
If this looks familiar, he brought it with him from Pete Cheat U.
1. Recruit the players illegally.
Six secondary violations in seven months; which is all that has come to light so far. Many more are liable to be uncovered, and not just secondary. Check.
2. Purchase the officials. It's okay to overpay.
Multiple "questionable" calls by the zebras. This is home cookin' of the first order in a state that is famous for them. Check.
3. Badmouth the opponents.
Repeated "controversial" quotes, followed by excuse-making. Revenge factor. Use assistant from SC to stir things up. Use spouse as prop. Check.
4. Coach against Karl Dorrell.

Has there ever been a player better than Detlef Schrempf?

Yeah, except that CNP was the head coach for 13-9

That was a gift from Lane's inept/unimagnative offense

We really need to thank..
DeWayne Walker, who established the defense that won today’s game.

Yeah but
Unlike Walker (Notre Dame) we didn’t play prevent defense in that last drive.

Loved the aggression
Those last 4…err…5 plays really seemed to go by fast, didn’t they? Usually a series like that seems to last an eternity.

Terrible officiating
I thought there were some bad calls in favor us UCLA in the first half.
Then the 2nd half was all home cookin’ (although we lucked out on the fumble at our own goal line). That “safety” was Lame, so to speak.
Kinda made me miss the old SPTRs a little.
Just terrible officiating today. Very poor effort by the zebras.

I was working outside
until the last two minutes. And, then I watched with no sound.
Even having missed 97% of the game, and 50% of the audio-visual stimuli, I figure I aged approximately 17.6 months during those two minutes. But, I’d do it again…
I started watching when we had the ball on what looked like the one foot line.
Just don’t fumble. Oh, god. OK. They have no time outs left. Just don’t fumble, and don’t get caught in the end zone. Just throw it away. Oh, god. But, the nose of the ball… OK, we’re not dead yet. Come on, D. You can do it. Picked! We win! What? What offsides? Show me.
Like Nestor said, we’ve got ourselves a football team. To come away with a win at that location, under these circumstances, that’s pretty damn impressive.
That it came at the expense of two $c coaches, priceless.
