Don't know what they did (my money's on underage drinking, but that's purely speculative), but I'm glad CRN is enforcing the rules:

Hopefully they'll learn from the experience & stay on the straight and narrow. A shame because this game would have been a great experience/confidence builder for them...

yikes

good to see that CRN is being tough on these guys though. Like you said, it’s a shame that they’re missing this game. There was real potential, especially for the 3 offensive guys, to get a lot of snaps.

As far as team success, I feel that we can absorb losing Knox and the two freshmen receivers – it’s Viney i’m a bit worried about. Is Abbott next on the depth chart or will we possibly see a freshman like Sheldon Price get the starting nod?

Has there ever been a player better than Detlef Schrempf?

Viney is the only one that worries me too

Abbott would seem to be next on the depth chart, and after that its three true freshman (Sheldon Price, Marlon Pollard, and Brandon Sermons) per our preseason depth chart. Ultimately though, we should be fine with any of these kids. K-State has really struggled throwing the ball against two far inferior defenses than ours and I would expect running it down our throats is Plan A.

nah, please feel free to edit that out. My bad & bad form. It’s just what I would have been in trouble for after a big win :-)

I think I will leave it up there

I just wanted to make sure your speculation was not based on any other information besides your hunch (which is fine and I see you where you were coming from with that comment).

The LAT

I believe it was reported in today’s LAT that the violation did not occur while the team was in Tennessee. I’ve got to double check on this.

I suppose it could still have been a drinking violation which occurred in California, but it obviously could have been a number of other things. We just don’t know at this point.

They were not drinking at my house.........

I know that for sure. Gatorade and water. That was all they were allowed by the athletic department. There was no alcohol around. These guys were so respectful and polite. They are welcome in my home anytime……

As you probably have guessed uclafan11 is my daughter.

S Price already played

I am pretty sure that S. Price played at the end of the SD st. game.
Can anyone verify that?

What is CRN thinking?

If CRN is gonna hold Ol’ Cheatey as the standard-bearer of where he wants his program to be, then wouldn’t it make sense that CRN mete out the same punishments The Humanitarian gives his players? Come on… those guys have done much worse (not knowing why they were suspended, it’s safe to assume it can’t be as bad as anything Petey’s players have done) and all they had was an extra lap or no pizza.

Lowering? Don't you mean raising?

Clearly since Pete Carroll is the standard bearer for all of humanity (hence the Humanitarian reference), he would know what is best for his players. Punching a guy? No problem, his granddad just died, so it’s okay. Sanchez caught up with sexual allegations? An unfortunate situation. A guy mimicking a suicide dive? All in good fun. He has shown that punishing players and having them take personal responsibility is not the humane thing to do. And who would know best than the Humanitarian to know what type of monster, I mean player he’s unleashing onto society.

CRN actually punishing players who break rules? Pfft… that’s not the standard bearer’s style. CRN won’t be winning any Humanitarian awards if he continues to teach his players to follow silly things like rules. Ol’ Petey has taught us that much.

Cheatie sells his lack of disipline to recruits as “I got your back, no matter what you do.” This seems to have a lot of appeal among the thug set.
