Help (for 2010) arrives now

Ohio State transfer Willie Mobley and Colorado transfer Josh Smith showed up at practice Tuesday.

Mobley, a defensive tackle, expects to participate in practice later this week.

"I'm still filling out paperwork and I need to take a physical," said Mobley, who will have three years of eligibility remaining after this season. "It's going to take a couple more days."

Smith, a wide receiver, has signed his enrollment papers and is expected to be at practice today. He will have two years of eligibility after sitting out this season.

Smith set a school record with 1,568 return yards and had 29 receptions for 387 yards for Colorado in 2008.

UCLA now has 85 players on scholarship, the NCAA maximum.
