So far, this might be the best pregame analysis (Bruins Nation excluded!) I've seen for the game this weekend. I can't wait!

Wow

Bear in mind that these predictions were written BEFORE the game.

UCLA’s defense will be directly or indirectly responsible for at least two touchdowns in this game, either scoring it on its own or as a result of turnovers it creates.
Then, it’s not a stretch to think that UCLA’s special teams is good for a touchdown, or at least setting up an easy score.

So, that’s potentially 21 points UCLA will probably generate without the offense having to sustain a drive.

So, conservatively, let’s say UCLA can mount just a couple of decent drives through its running game for scores. We’ll say that results in one touchdown and one field goal for another 10 points.

I think you can probably throw in one more busted defensive coverage on the part of SDSU’s defense, playing in a new scheme in its first game on the road. So, let’s throw in another Kai Forbath field goal.

So, that’s 34 points for the Bruins.

Duh

I guess they wouldn’t be predictions if their author had made them after the game. Reset. Dumb hyperbole, on my part.

But, what remarkably accurate predictions, not only in numbers and specifics, but in such immeaurables such as flow of game. Reading these for the first time after the game (which I did), it was like reading a recap of a completed game.

Premium BRO subscription rates are nontrivial for me, but the right-on-ness (sorry; geezer expression) of this before-game content wows me. In considering springing for premium,I feel like Redd Foxx (another geezerism), who complained that his life would be better, but that his woman kept blowing their money on food and rent.
