OT: UK universities warn they face "meltdown"
Just wanted to point out that the trouble with quality higher education is worldwide. I'm glad I got the opportunity to attend UCLA at a reasonable price. An affordable, quality post-secondary education is critical to the continuation of democracy.

Scary reality of what governments do to temporarily relieve their debts
It’s sad to see that what’s been going on in the UC system and California’s ill-advised approach to solving its problem is going on in the UK too.
