One less problem for CRN and Bullough to gameplan for next year...

It's not just 'one less problem'

It’s one less major nightmare that the entire Pac10 has to worry about. For all the tainted ‘accomplishments’ Reggie Bush had during his contract at $UC, Gerhart has proven to be just as big of a matchup nightmare (if not moreso) than Bush. I have never seen any RB that strong in recent memory able to plow through every defense that stacks 9 in the box.
I’m not a Stanford fan by any stretch of the imagination, but i’m glad to see that guy graduate with an engineering degree and go pro. Good luck man.

I have to wonder how much the "White Running Back" stereotype

will hurt him draft-wise in the NFL, especially given his size. Brian Leonard has gotten some play coming out of Rutgers with the Bengals but I believe he is mostly used at FB rather than HB. Gerhart should have gotten more Heisman play than he did IMO – the guy is a straight-up beast.

Draft...

Being a step slower than guys like Spiller will definitely hurt him… and also taking so many hits will cause people to be nervous as well… but I think that just makes him more of a steal when he’s taken in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th round. Growing up as a Stanford fan before attending UCLA, I wish the best for him! I would love to have my Jags take him :)

That would be a solid rotation

MJD as the quick, elusive, shifty back (and he’s been reliable) and then Gerhart as the bigger, punishing back…that would be a backfield rotation that could be amazing, when I think about it.

GO BRUINS!

Exactly

And going so late in the draft will just mean that the jags get an excellent setup for a great price. They’ll need the deal, because MJD is the 3rd highest paid back right now. Now if only I could contact the jags’ administration. They’ve wasted picks before… and the talk of taking Tebow just makes me nervous they’ll pass up a brilliant pick like Gerhart.

I could go for that

I’m a huge Niners fan, but I root for the Jags as my AFC team because of MJD. MJD and Toby Gerhart would be a formidable combo (though i’m sure a lot of fantasy players wouldn’t like the move)

Me too.

I hated the Niners all my life, until now. Now I really root for them. I also root for Arizona and St Louis. And to round it out, my favorites (at least for next year) will be all the other teams who play Seattle.

One of my fondest memories was Mr. Trojan, John McKay, who went to Tampa Bay and proceeded to lose something in the area of 194 games in a row. I can’t really think of any better justice than that. If Cheatie Petie and Lame could combine to go 0-29 next year, I would be ready to depart this veil of tears and would do so a happy man.

I agree...

However…the jags are gonna have a great rotation next year. Have you seen Rashard Jennings? He is a straight up bulldozer… he just needed some time to get used to the speed of the game. I think He will go early 3rd…and i hate myself for saying this…but i think Tennessee is gonna grab him IMO.

However I like the guy and i wish him a long and great NFL career.

but it’s welcome nonetheless.

Stickler here

It’s one less headache for CRN and CCB, not CNC…other side of the ball.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

I knew something was off

We’ve had CNC on the brain the last few days; Bullough slipped my mind.
