I did a quick scan of posts and didn't see what I'm about to post.
Folks, bear with me because I know this is a bit far-fetched and is about as likely as finding pubic hair in a Jonas Bros. concert (Michael Schiavello, HDNet MMA announcer).
What if the hiring of Lame Kitten was Mikey's way of trying to legitimately clean up the athletic program?
Yes, Kitty made things a little ugly after all the fiasco over in the SEC. Yes, Oregano, or whatever his name is, reeks in a bad way.
The thing is, things might actually go down in the next couple seasons. Things going down as in the NCAA might actually do something about Bush-Mayo Gate. I feel that any well-respected, high-profile coaches would want to stay away from South Central at least until Bush-Mayo clears up.
That's where Kitty comes in. If Garrett can actually keep the Kitten's Krew under control for the next couple seasons, wait until Bush-Mayo clears up, then he can let Kitten go because it's more than likely that $C will have had a couple of bad-mediocre seasons. Once that happens, $C can once again throw money at high-profile coaches but this time, there's should be less asterisks with the name U$C. Basically, sacrifice a Kitten and a couple seasons for the sake of returning to former glory.
Whatever the case, we definitely have the edge as long as Lamey is hanging around the hoods of South Central.
These were random thoughts that came into my head as I was falling asleep and my mind began to wander. I'm sure it makes no logical sense, but thoughts?
