One 7-6 season. After Tennessee rescued a tarnished Kiffin. After Tennessee's athletics department backed Kiffin through six secondary recruiting violations, and after Tennessee backed Kiffin in a potential violation of having campus "hostesses'' make "visits'' to recruits all over the southeast.
And he's rewarded by another institution of higher learning (and I type that with as much sarcasm as I can muster), making him even richer than if he'd stayed at Tennessee .
Where's the decency? The maturity? The gratitude? The simple sense of even a pinch of loyalty?

Wow that’s cool.
I enjoy the NFL and read King’s column every week. His piece regarding the Kiffin story is solid, and I’m sure the geezers here :D can relate to his thoughts.

My favorite part of this story is that Kiffin left Tennessee so hurriedly that he didn’t even bother to call his brother-in-law, the brother of his wife, who was also his quarterbacks coach at Tennessee . The New York Times reported David Reaves found out Kiffin was bolting when he saw the news on TV at a local restaurant.

I’ve heard rumors on the interwebs that this was a calculated move.The idea is that Tame Kitten leaves his brother in law in place at Tennessee. UT then fires David Reaves and still owes him his contracted buy out figure. David Reaves then goes to South Central as a Graduate Assistant while being paid by Tennessee to coach.
This guy is as slimey as they come. Don’t know what will become of this guy. But, I hope Tennessee finds a way around this.

Tennessee should get in touch with the Texas Tech administration.
Find a way to fire him for cause. I think being a relative of Lame is cause all by itself, but some may disagree I suppose.

All this has to be hurting their recruiting right? Hoping the kids and parents see the light before sending there kids over to $uc.
