Awesome
Thanks Nestor!
"The entire world that bleeds blue and gold ... they have been dying for this." - Coach Rick Neuheisel
Is this from the DVD from the HBO series about the Wooden Dynasty?
I’ve seen it three or four times and I never get tired of it.
awesome.
Just awesome.
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
The search function on top right
Should let you find this in less than 30 seconds on BN if you are ever looking for it. Just have to type in any of the tags (John Wooden or John R. Wooden or Coach John R Wooden or even “intergalactic treasure”).
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this...
I teared up when I watched it, which happens to me every time. It reminds me how much I LOVED Bruins basketball. The players considered it an honor to play for him. I considered it an honor to watch them, to be a fan of them, to watch them achieve near perfection on the court, and do it the right way. And to go on to all the wonderful things they did after they left UCLA.
We are all blessed to be fans of the greatest team ever during those Golden Years, coached by the greatest coach of all time. But most importantly, he is a great man. His photograph (sighed to me) sits on my desk, as does the Pyramid of Success. I love to hear Bill Walton talk about him, with such admiration and love.
I know I am gushing. I don’t love being old, but because I am, I got to be there when this happened. I am so proud to be a fan of what that stood for. I know we will never see that again. Now I am just happy to enjoy those memories.
I was there from 1966 through 1970.
It was a magic time, a magic coach and a magic team. Watching those clips made my eyes mist over.
Sweet. What a beautiful, selfless man.

I'm jealous
My dad was also at UCLA from ’66 through ’70 and he never stops talking about those games, those seasons and Coach Wooden…
and he (and everyone else fortunate to attend in those days) never should stop.
Nice timing
PBS in the Bay Area happens to be airing a documentary of/on Coach Wooden as I type.
formerly bruinhoo
I was there '70-'75
and was fortunate to attend the championship games in San Diego. It was indeed a very special time. I was also fortunate to be there in Seattle for the ‘95 championship. I dearly hope I don’t experience another 20 year gap between Bruin mens basketball Championships!!!!!
I still have ticket stubs from my college years and will always cherish both my education (undergrad & grad) at UCLA and the class that John Wooden brought to our great school.

![[Turn down your volume before watching!]
As seen from the crowd, the last two minutes of UCLA vs. Arizona. Hopefully gives those who were not able to attend an idea of what it was like inside "Old" Pauley for the last time.](http://cdn2.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/180811/0_small.jpg)
