ESPN BIO: "Neuheisel sees his opening"
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne does a nice story on Rick Neuheisel. Is this is a subtle apology from ESPN to all the Bruin fans out there over the Norm Chow foul up?

Reminds me of
the first time I saw CRN at UCLA, a couple days after he was officially hired. He was driving his car out of the parking lot under the IM field, and I of course knew who he was. I stopped at the street corner and gawked at him. He caught me staring, smiled, waved, and drove on.
CRN has sold me thus far on everything. I really hope he can follow up all this charm and charisma with some tangible solid performance on the field.
Which
was in direct contrast to the time I came face-to-face with Coach Wooden. He was coming down Bruin Walk, I was going up. I was going to extend my hand and greet him. About 10 feet before he got to me, he started coughing and brought up a hair ball.
I passed on the greeting. I still get a chuckle out of that.
