USC just announced self imposed sanctions, including a ban from postseason play this season, reduction of scholarships, and vacated wins from the OJ Mayo season. It's unfortunate (and I mean that sincerely) that it's the players that stuck with the program and a hard-nosed coach that have to bear the brunt of the punishment for the actions of other players within the athletic department. I have to admit that I have been very impressed with the play (at least defensively) of this year's USC team. But I think all of those players knew this was very much a possibility for this season. It will be interesting to see how they respond for the remainder of this season.
