GULP: If you have the stomach for it, then go back read "Cover Boys" and our excitement around freshman class of 2008. That was just a little more than a year ago.
GO BRUINS.

maybe I just see dark humor in this...
But I enjoy this quote from JA
“My mom was always the type to say that you have to have a back-up plan,”…
Clearly CBH needs to hire JA’s mom as a strategy consultant and/or talent evaluator!
LOL
I don’t think we can see anything but “dark humor” looking back at that post. :-) ALL OF US – ALL OF US, fell for the hype.
All of us, all of those that evaluate talent...
Pretty much an all-around failure in evaluating and rating the class.

I made this picture my Facebook profile picture at the time
and told my mom not to throw away the magazine until I got home from Westwood.
How thoroughly embarrassing.

Oops
I thought I posted something back when this came out, guess not. I too fell for it BIG TIME. I didn’t see Michigan’s Fab Five reincarnated but I didn’t see what this class has become either.
Shouldn't that be class of 2008?
Or are you looking at that as mainly the 2009 season?

I drained the pitcher of Kool Aid
I was convinced we would have four national championships at least. Oops.
That's one fantastic photo though.
I don’t know how much I believed in this class during the recruiting season. I deferred to all the experts and let their opinions be my own. I know little to nothing about high school kids and how their talent translates to good college b-ball.
But man. This photo sold me. Bunch of well-dressed kids with big genuine smiles. 17-18 year old kids and all the potential in the world. I don’t know if I believed. But I sure wanted to.
And in retrospect – we were hard-core shilling for Adidas. I hope we got a bonus from them for having their logo so obviously in the middle of the cover of UCLA magazine.
Go Bruins!
