Bay Area Basketball Podcast (6 pm PST)
The Bruins are heading to the Bay Area 1-1 in Pac-10 play. That's really not too bad, but it was the manner in which the Bruins lost to Arizona that has most UCLA fans upset. We'll recap UCLA's opening Pac-10 weekend at Pauley Pavilion beginning at at 6 pm PST, then get into this week's trip to the Bay Area. The week starts early this week with UCLA in Berkeley to face the Bears on Wednesday and a trip to Palo Alto to play Stanford following on Saturday. To preview Wednesday's game versus Cal, we'll bring in CBKWit from California Golden Blogs, SBN's Cal blog, to talk with and get the skinny on the Bears.
Please use this thread to share any thoughts or questions and we'll work them in as well. You can listen to the show live beginning at 6 pm PST by clicking play in the box above and can listen to it anytime after the show by clicking that same play button or by heading over to iTunes.

Somewhere MinnesotaBruin (Iowa Alum) must be really giddy right now. Hawkeyes are hammering the Yellow Jackets.

Hey guys
We’ll get this going in a bit and we’re here on this thread so use it to get any thoughts, comments or questions in. We’ll have CBKWit here so if you have any Cal related questions, we can work them in if you post them here.

Some questions
1) want to hear his thoughts on Max Zhang (7’3" 240 lbs) (!!!!)
2) want to hear his thoughts on Cal’s defense and his perspective on the matchup between the two froncourts? Is he dreading the “shooting” of Dragovic? :-) You have to ask that especially for me.
3) also would love to hear perspective on whether he thinks zoning Bears can be effective.
He beat me to Zhang
Brought him up before I could ask.

After Boise St.''s win last night
I realized they lose only one starter next season so they should be a top 10 preseason team. With Oregon St. going to Boise and them playing Virginia Tech in DC, they have the makings to play in a title game if they win out.

Yeah
ESPN commentators were making the point about the Broncos being a pre-season top-5 team next year.
With what we saw out of their D
and Moore, Pettis, Young on offense, they should be a good one. The OOC SOS should be there, but winning out will be TOUGH.

Cal playing "bad" against zone
That is interesting info (didn’t think about the ’Cuse game) but I guess that was without Robertson. Hmm.
Yeah
Same thought here. Of course, not having Theo would have a significant impact on that.

Classic exchange
This is great.
CBKWit and his crew are being way too cautious about tomorrow. It’s going to be a great night for them tomorrow.
Thanks
we try our best not to screw it up too badly.

Aaron Corp transferring from U$C*
Apparently per Biggins but not seeing any link yet (that’s why I am not fanshotting this yet). Something to keep an eye on next day or two.
