Since Stewart Mandel (Sports Illlustrated) refered to it, I thought I'd post a picture of the card pc will use to "get out of jail free."

Proposed no sympathy rule
I propose a rule for this site: when this scurrilous scofflaw sidles off to Seattle, no expressions of sympathy for the remnants of the athletic department should be permitted
when the NCAA drops the hammer. Everybody who attends that ethical hazardous waste site was on notice that NCAA sanctions were over the horizon and now as the day of reckoning is about to dawn, tough!

It's an opera, folks.
As much as I hate to say it, just$c* is like an opera, and its fans are like opera fans. In opera, the audience has to buy into the fact (a) that everyone sings to each other, (b) all the silly plot twists, © that the soprano has TB, and (d) that the tenor will sing a three-minute aria as he dies following the sword fight. (Among other things.) It’s called “willful suspension of disbelief.” just$c* fans would be perfect opera fans. They see the absurdity, they know it’s all pretense, and yet they applaud and yell bravo and all that. That is willful suspension of disbelief, which they have to have in order think everything is OK.
If it’s not an opera, then it’s a fairy tale, called The Emperor’s New Clothes. If you’re blinded by the ketchup and mustard smoke and mirrors, you can’t see that Cheatie Petie is butt-naked. Maybe that’s why plaSChke was so thrilled to get the hug.
