Final Pac-12 Divisions?
Not sure how close this is to being a done deal, but it looks like the California schools may be split North-South, with the LA schools joining the Arizona schools as well as Utah and Colorado.

Expected
I hated the zipper format, looking at the ACC I still dont know who is in each division. Had to be geography as a base for marketing. The geography split was not going to work without splitting the California four.
throw in a guarantee that we play Cal and Stanford every year
and I’ll accept it. Play all the division teams, the NorCal teams, and one of OU/OSU and one of UW/WSU each year. And then beat OU or UW in the title game each year. Done.
Selfishly
I’d like being in the same half with Colorado, but I hope we play them early. It’s getting cold here now.
Either way, the conference should have had these issues addressed (getting Regents and AD’s to agree on schedule, divisions, championship game sites, etc) before extending invitations. It’s generally best to look before you leap.

Now that I've seen the proposal on that Pac 12 blog wherever it was
Anything less than that is a failure on the part of Scott.
This is a failure.
pac 12 cooler
i thought this was an interesting idea. we keep the regional rivalries intact and get to play the other teams frequently … everyone still gets access to the ca markets.
seems like scott is concerned the arizona, utah & colorado teams can’t generate enough national interest if bunched with the oregon & wash schools?
also, wondering how much influence abc/espn($$$) has in determining conference alignment.
sorry if i didn’t link correctly!
