Ralph catches up with JJ on his sweet home coming. What's even better is Ralph's work of digging up the clips of JJ's epic game against Washington 17 years ago. I was there.

Wow, great to see the clips again!
Great player. Wish we could have won that Rose Bowl game against the Badgers.
Still waiting for our next JJ
It’ s just incredible that we haven’t had a standout like him in so long.
I was at that game against Washington too. Aside from that amazing TD catch, he had another catch where he laid out, and I mean horizontally, and made one of the most ridiculous catches I have ever seen.
Welcome home JJ. Can you please go talk to Nelson? Thanks man.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
The interesting thing is
Following JJ we also had solid receivers in Kevin Jordan, Danny Farmar, Jim McElroy and Craig Bragg. But NOTHING really since 2004 (Bragg’s last year). Dorrell brought in no one of significance. It remains to be seen what happens with the talent recruited in last 2-3 years. The spotlight is squarely on Reggie Moore this season.
Definitely solid guys
and you could pretty much put Marcedes Lewis in that group, but somehow no one quite at the level of JJ, even with a WR as our head coach…
I am a firm believer in the little guys, they seem to fight for the ball a lot more. Wes Welker, Wayne Chrebet, Steve Smith (the Ute), Austin Collie (not that little I guess)…they just seem to want it more. The tall prototypical guys seem to be prima donnas.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
