Around SBN: How The Kings Beat The Coyotes: Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Please, oh please, let this be a sign of things to come

Notre Dame 20, trogans 16.

I remember another 20 to 16 game.  Is it too much to ask that this is a sign that karma is about to step in and provide just a little balance to the universe.  That 20-16 game in 1965 was every bit as good as 13-9, and maybe better, because we got the ball to start our comeback when Troy Winslow, just$c*'s QB, fumbled.  And yes, he was named "Troy" by his daddy, who was a trogan footballer himself.  I never found out, but I always assumed that Winslow's middle initials were "KY," given that he was named after a condom.

Hope you're right

Considering there’s also a UCLA angle through the ND QB…

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

I don't usually support Notre Dame, but QB Tommy Rees is from my son's high school!

And his father was a coach at UCLA under Terry Donahue and his brother, Danny, is a place holder and backup punter at UCLA.

Despite his multiple errors, I think Tommy showed a lot of guts and leadership.

BTW, the look on Kiffin’s face after Mustain threw the interception was absolutely priceless.

Hopefully we will see it again next week, but it will take a great effort by our boys!!

I think we can score no problem against these guys.

The question is will we defend. And if we don’t have at least 2 interceptions against either qb, well, we’ve already said it, something dreadfully wrong with our defense.

Go Bruins!

Notre Dame played great last night.

I don’t usually care for defensive games, but when USC is being forced to punt as often as it did, I love every minute of it.

We have reached the critical point of our season. Earlier in the season when it became obvious we were heading in to a loss (like the Oregon game) it was easy to say, “I just want them to come out and fight. Put up a valiant effort and build for next year.” That doesn’t cut it against SC.

We are going to have to play Defense like we played against Texas; and score like we did against well, Texas. Anything is possible, but at this point I am much more in Prayer mode than in Believing mode.
