Thank you for posting
This was a great read. I’m very jealous of everyone who was around to watch his teams play and even more so those fortunate to meet Coach.
Great find RLB.
Thanks so much for posting it. His sayings are so amazing. I bought a quote of the day calendar (Coach’s quotes) and my students have been eating it up. One of them will be reading it and find a quote that they really like and we’ll talk about it. And these are “jaded” 16, 17, 18 year olds. They’re not so jaded when they hear true words.
Go Bruins!
Reading this got me all misty eyed.
A friend of mine and I were recently telling another friend what it was like to have heard Wooden speak. i still catch myself all the time, not giving my 100%, and i’ll remember what Coach said, “you’ll always be able to fool someone and tell them you are giving your best. But, you will always know the truth.” And, then I’ll get back to work.
Miss you Coach.
The best thing you can do for your children is to love their mother. John Wooden
