Since britishbruin brought up the topic in his Andrew Bogut "Squad 6" fanshot, I felt that I had to share the following statistic regarding Kevin Love's productivity per 48. I did some quick research and found that amongst NBA players who have played 30 or more games this season, KLove is ranked 6th in productivity per 48 minutes (based on the NBA efficiency stat). Check out the top six:
|1||LeBron James , CLE||39.61|
|2||Tim Duncan , SAS||38.03|
|3||Chris Bosh , TOR||36.73|
|4||Chris Paul , NOH||34.73|
|5||Dwight Howard , ORL||34.35|
|6||Kevin Love , MIN||34.28|
So, for those of you who don't follow the NBA, the top five guys are all franchise players who have earned (in Duncan's case) or will earn the maximum allowable salary in the league. Pretty impressive company to keep for a second year kid who was once labeled a questionable pospect due to his relative lack of athleticism.
Also of note, there's only one other player in the top 12 that didn't make the all-star game, Carlos Boozer and most observers considered his omission a pretty big snub. The rest of the the top 12: David Lee, Boozer, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade.
