More Trouble For Ducks: LaMichael James Arrested For Domestic Violence
This is just breaking in the Oregonian:
LaMichael James, star running back for the Oregon Ducks, is in Lane County Jail, arrested Wednesday morning on domestic violence charges.
James has been charged with assault-4, which is a misdemeanor that carries a potential one-year prison term, as well as strangulation and menacing.
Obviously this is developing right now. This is happening at a time when there is uncertainty re. Jeremiah Masoli's involvement in off field issues (have not seen any clear cut story on it, so if anyone has any specific that we haven't pointed at beyond what we blogged here, let me know).
Recently also, Oregon's kicker Rob Beard was charged with fourth-degree assault in connection with an ncident that put Beard in the hospital. Beard was charged with attacking a 19-year-old woman during the fight, which included 20 to 40 people (according to police).
A very interesting early off season to say the least up in Eugene.
GO BRUINS.

It's Oregon's own fault
for stealing the typical U$C* recruits…
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
Yeah
With some of these guys, I would have known in the first 10 minutes…

I have very limited experience with domestic violence cases
but I heard that some prosecutors view it as a zero tolerance crime and they accept no plea bargain other than guilty of the offense charged. (That was a South Orange County case.) If the prosecutor in Eugene is the same, it may not be a cakewalk even though he’s an athlete.
I have no sympathy for a guy who does this sort of thing. How hard can it be to just walk away instead of act violently? It’s the epitome of being a bully, in my opinion.
