TCU "Permanently" Moves Aundre Dean From Running Back To Strong Safety
Guess Rick Neuehisel and his offensive staff were not only ones making the same evaluations when Dean was stuck at the end of running back depth chart.
Good luck Aundre. Hope it all works out for him.

I gotta wonder why he couldn't switch positions for us.
I hate to see great athletes leave our program then find out they are willing to make a sacrifice in order to get on the field somewhere else.

Perhaps he needed to hear from another program as well
That he was better off playing at another position. UCLA was his first brush with reality that college is a different level than high school. We have had plenty of athletes making switches in our program as well. So there is nothing to “wonder” over here and think grass is always greener somewhere else.
grass is greener has nothing to do with it.
Personally, I had big hopes for Aundre Dean, and wished he had seen the light while he was still a Bruin.

I think it's good
that our talent is deep enough that other serious programs want our castoffs.

I guess we just never know with these kids
It’s so hard to tell who will and won’t be great at the next level. Aundre Dean was so incredibly impressive coming out of Texas. Best of luck to him.
I don't remember our staff ever trying to move Dean
Which means they didn’t think he’d be great somewhere else, or better than what we already have. So big deal.
He was only in our program for little more than a year
So the staff hadn’t gotten to that point. Patterson had seen Dean for one year and had to make a decision with only two year left in his eligibility.
