Lane Violation Gets Verbal Commitment From 13-Year Old QB?
Okay, I saw this story and I thought it had to be a joke . . . but after reading this, and since Timmeh signed an 8th grader a few year's back (who shockingly changed his mind in 10th grade), there is an eerie truth to this abomination.

Football players cannot be recruited until Sept 1 of their junior year, but the 13-year old from the Northeast plans to take an "unofficial" and meet Lame-o in California. If this isn't a code or rule violation, its certainly an ethical violation. Lame should be charged with strict liability statutory recruiting, the kid's dad should be charged with child abuse, and $UC-loving sportswriters should be be-handed. Cheers to the end of the LA Football Monopoly . . . GO BRUINS!

You seriously just can't make this stuff up.
Classic. Hope the recruits who just signed feel stupid because their coach is an idiot.
Look who first reported it?
The Trogan Shill Shelley Smith was able to waddle off to cesspool long enough to report it.
When I was 13 . . .
The Marine Corp had this really cool commercial at the end of which they promised you a poster of an F-18 Hornet. I was really into my model airplanes, and I really wanted that poster so I called the 1 800 number and left basic information (including my age) figuring I would be turned down for enlistment, but get the poster anyway.
No. The marines did the right thing and said I was too young! They thanked me for my interest and encouraged to look into the Marine Corp again when I was old enough to enlist.
It really does seem like the trogans really are clueless when it comes to ethics.

Guys, relax, maybe USC’s got the death penalty until 2015 and Kiffin is just getting a head start.

Also, not the first time that Lane has done this
Last year, he offered Eric Berry’s 13 yr old brother a scholly:
I wonder if one of these times, Kiffin is going to get baited into showing up at a 13 yr old’s house, only instead of finding an athlete, he’ll be asked to sit across from Chris Hansen.

Totally Agree
A few years back, I wrote a long post about the pedophiles who take advantage of athletically gifted children.
This is but another example.
And, shame on the parents.
