Luke Gane to Walk-On the Bruin FB Team
Inspirational story of a young man who fought through a rare type of anemia, only to come back to football as a walkon for our Bruin football team this fall 2010. One of the 2010 recruits, Jordan Zumwalt, was a big influence in Luke's decision and I believe a source of encouragement in his journey back to football. Congratulations Luke! We look forward to seeing you on the field! Here's some background on Luke (warning *tear jerker!* ~ made me kind of misty watching his father talk about Luke and his little brother who saved his life): http://bit.ly/dmMo2I Announcement of his UCLA status: http://bit.ly/d0DEz2

It looked like...
he was wearing a $uc shirt in one of the photos in the video. LOL.
I’m happy for him that he overcame both diseases. Welcome to the Bruin family, Luke!

I am officially going to be Luke’s biggest fan besides his mom, dad, 5 brothers and grandma. He is an amazing young man of character and surrounds himself with wonderful friends that he calls “The Brotherhood” – honorable & energetic young men who are proud to be going to UCLA and wearing the blue and gold.
