Baseball In Lone Star State vs. Texas A&M CC Game Thread
They're back at it again. The Bruins look to add another win to their 10-0 start when they open up the Whataburger Classic in Corpus Christi versus Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 4 pm PST. The Bruins defeated UC Riverside on Tuesday night at home to open up what is likely their most important week of the non-conference season and now will play three in Corpus Christi, versus A&M CC tonight, Mississippi St. tomorrow and Oklahoma on Sunday. Oklahoma beat Mississippi St. 16-5 in the afternoon today to open the tournament.
UCLA will have Gerrit Cole (3-0, 2.50 ERA) on the mound for them to take on the Islanders and will be opposed by Roy Ferdin (1-0, 3.86 ERA). Cole was featured alongside his teammate Trevor Bauer today in an ESPNLosAngeles.com article and the Bruins were well represented in the newest Rivals.com power rankings, which ranks the top 10 players in the country at each position. Bauer, Cole, Steve Rodriguez and Dean Espy were all ranked.
First pitch today is at 4 pm PST and you can follow along on GameTracker, as always (now that it is up, no more need for Live Stats). A&M CC also appears to have audio and video available on their website so you can grab that by clicking the icons next to today's game on their schedule. I'll have updates on my UCLA baseball twitter, but this is your game thread so update it, talk about the game and get into anything else you have on the program.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.
