Check that out
You nailed my favorite days of the year. Going from spring practices to baseball games make up some of the best days you can have, especially when you get a gorgeous sunny day like we tend to have out here.

Kind of
There’s the parking lot where visiting teams’ fans and occasional Bruins tailgate. There’s isn’t a ton of room and they will crack down if you get too rowdy. If you are content with hanging out in the parking lot and drinking (red cups of course) while throwing a ball around, you’re good. They don’t let you do anything too extravagant, but the basics you’re good with.

This is a classic example ...
of how the baseball team could be marketed.
I mean, we took the time to post this information. The work is done.
How easy would it be for someone to just email this information to all of the season ticket holders. It would take just a minute. Do all the season ticket holders go to the spring practices? No. Would all of those that do also want to go to a baseball game? No.
But for the cost of an email — wink, wink — you could remind thousands of Bruin fans to come out to spring practice and by the way check out the undefeated nationally ranked baseball team.
Heck, if there was ever a time to offer a discount for the baseball games, this is it. How about anyone who shows a campus parking pass on those days (either a same day, monthly or annual) and mentions “spring practice” gets a buck or two off of a baseball ticket. Why not? They’ll spend it back in hot dogs and seeds anyway.
Or anyone with football season tickets may attend these select baseball games for a buck off or half price or whatever. Just bring your “whatever it is that proves your a season ticket holder” to the box office at JRS and get your discount.
I don’t know the right exact answer. I do know that a hundred or more people sometimes show up to the football practices. Why not try and get some of those folks over to the baseball game? Heck, just make an announcement or pass our fliers at football practice. Someone will show up. Shoot, just hand out the pocket schedules.

Just add it to the list, A
There’s a lot that can be done. Your idea would be great, as would a ton of others. One day, maybe we’ll see something.

It is mind boggling ...
I mean, the work is already done.
You could cut and paste what we posted into an email and send it. Maybe you’d need to write a little intro or something. Maybe you’d want to do it as a “message from Coach Rick” or something.
Maybe it would take 15-20 minutes of work for someone to do this. I mean, you know the mail list already exists. It would take no longer than the time it would take to write an email (and we already wrote 90% of it) then push “send.”
What I think it comes down to
and I think is the only thing you can assume based on action is that the Morgan Center simply doesn’t care much about the baseball program. The way they’ve treated JRS says that and their reluctance to do anything that resembles marketing says that. They may really care, but none of their actions indicate that they do. I hope that if the team can continue to win that might force their hand.

Folks
It would be much appreciated if everyone recommend this post up so it remains visible as long as possible in the coming days. Thanks.
Seats:
Only 1250 seats at the stadium. But a nice stadium with a JR statue.
They also use the parking lot for Getty’s.
Not 1,250 seats
Space for 1,250 including standing room and the grass hills. About 1,000 actual seats.

If you want something to do after football on the 9th and 11th
Come up to Easton Stadium to watch softball vs. Arizona State. Friday game time is 7PM and Sunday starts at noon.
Hmmmmm
I did promise myself that this is the year I make it to a game before the postseason. That Friday game is enticing…

It should be a good game
I’m hoping to make it to my first baseball game this weekend, so it looks like it will be a season of firsts for both of us!
