SC Hires Chris Kiffin -- "The Van Burglar" -- as Defensive Administrative Assistant

According to ESPN's Ted Miller, the Trogans have hired Chris Kiffin -- brother of Lane, son of Monte -- as their new "defensive administrative assistant."

Here's a nice story about Chris regarding the time he was arrested for burglarizing a van and stealing some CDs:

The son of Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense coordinator Monte Kiffin was arrested Tuesday on charges he broke into two vans to steal money and compact discs earlier in the week, Indian Shores police said.

Christopher Kiffin, 24, of 16200 Gulf Blvd., Redington Beach, was charged with two counts of burglary to a vehicle. He was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bail within hours of his arrest.

According to arrest affidavits, Kiffin admitted to breaking into two vans along Gulf Boulevard in Redington Shores at roughly 4 a.m. Sunday. His plan was to take money and compact discs, but it was unclear from the affidavits whether he did so. Indian Shores Police Investigator Jason Routzahn declined to comment.

Kiffin joins Todd McNair on the SC staff. You remember Todd from this BN story, don't you?

Then there is the Trogans' new defensive back coach, Willie Mack Garza.

Quite the classy bunch ...

Poor Chris Kiffin

May be he broke into those vans at 4 am because he was desperate for some “munchies”?

Ok

This is Hilarious. I mean, the things that keep happening over there, one after another. I wish I had time to make a list. There is just so much, I couldn’t have even imagined this script. The only way this movie gets better is if it ends with tough and appropriate sanctions! I know, I know, I am heading into the fantasy genre…

"I mean, the things that keep happening over there"

Enjoyable, isn’t it? What makes it all the more enjoyable is that these developments are not some unavoidable cosmic destiny. They’re doing it by and to themselves. Blight On.

I know it

Its just so funny! I have been brought to tears laughing about some of these things. Priceless!

Do you want these people coaching your kids?

Admittedly, I’m not a parent, but I sure wouldn’t want any family member going there.

Stay classy, USC.

um

Is Mike Garrett insane? What is wrong with those clowns? I would be embarrassed if I was a SUC fan.

Sort of a chicken and the egg situation

Sure, you’d be embarrassed if you were a SUC fan, but a prerequisite of being a SUC fan is throwing integrity and dignity out the window, so they are incapable of feeling embarrassment.

This is classic

I just can’t get it out of my head the scenario where this guy was breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s van to steal their special mix-tape and while he was there took some money for an once of weed.

I’m at a loss for the term “burglary of a vehicle.” That seems quite a bit away from the common law definition of burglary: The breaking and entering of the dwelling of another at night with the intent to commit a felony or a theft therein. I guess some people live in vans. Hence the name “The Van Burglar”…Classic, hats off to you Achilles. Sounds like the “hamburglar.”

Uh, Sorry Brother and Sister Bruins -- You've got this one wrong.

They are hiring role models.

Role models are those who you want your kids to emulate.

This is exactly the type of staff the trogans want their kids to revere and copy.

Even with all of Sra. Rosa’s best efforts, most of these kids will need the real life type of job skills that only an accomplished van burglar can teach.

And, talk about a staff with “street cred”

This just in --

AP – Los Angeles

Trogan Athletic Director Mike Garrett announced the reorganization of the athletic department at his alma mater in a news conference today. Garrett announced that the recruiting department and the ncaa compliance department were being merged into one mega-department which will be headed by Bernie Madoff. Mr. Madoff will not be available to speak to the press personally until visiting hours. Meantime, his top assistent, a former member of the tax assessor’s office, was being promoted to the top spot in the trogan motor pool and limo department.

apropos

This just astounds me. “Defensive Administrative Assistant”?? U$C, a school with a legendary legacy admission policy that flouts nepotism, has a head coach whose greatest attribute are the 23 chromosomes he got from his defensive coordinator and makes up positions to get his delinquent little brother a paycheck. Ridiculous. That’s your “Trogan Family” for you.

Good for the Trogans

Seems like a good fit for them. But I have serious doubts he was ripping off his ex for weed money. Weed doesn’t keep you awake til 4 in the morning. Their demise is inevitable.

Nepotism- arrests - crimes swept under the rug-criminals go free

Nothing changes over at $Cum Tech. Maybe they should just shut it down and turn it into a half-way house-Oh you say it allready is well forget about it. They will not change until there is a complete housecleaning. Sample is going but Garrett and his ilk are still there.

Inevitable Trojan response

Guh, guh, guh . . . Sam Gilbert!

Sucks that they are such morons and cheaters yet they keep beating us on the field. Maybe that will finally change.

You forgot SCwreck!

Wikipedia on Ogre includes the following:
In 1991, while an assistant at Miami, a “permanent injunction of protection” was granted to a woman by a Dade County court against Orgeron prohibiting “any act of domestic violence.” Orgeron was ordered into a 26-week domestic violence counseling program. Subsequently, a “highly intoxicated” Orgeron was arrested in a Baton Rouge, Louisiana bar fight in 1992 and charged with felony second-degree battery among other charges. The charges were eventually dropped but Orgeron was placed on probation by the Miami athletic department.

So I can understand why Lane couldn’t hire his brother-in-law (and didn’t even tell him about the move to Troy) — he must be too law-abiding! Limiting your nepotism to the criminal element only is the mark of a true Trogan.
