Women's Golf

#2 UCLA won their first tournament of the season by taking the Betsy Rawls Invitational. The Bruins had the best final day score in the field and their score of +20 for the tournament was six shots better than anyone else. Four individuals finished in the top 10 for a UCLA team that will be off this week.

Women's Gymnastics

The defending Pac-10 champions defended their title last week as #3 UCLA won the Pac-10 Championships ahead of second-place Stanford and third-place Oregon St. While the team was tops in the conference, so was Vanessa Zamarippa took the individual title, her first Pac-10 title. Zamarippa also took the vault title, while Anna Li scored a perfect 10 to win the uneven bars and Brittani McCullough tied for the floor exercise title. On Monday, the Bruins will find out their postseason fate, but they will an all likelihood stay home and compete in the Regionals at Pauley Pavilion in two weeks.

Women's Water Polo

The fourth-ranked Bruins couldn't get it done versus #2 Stanford, falling 11-6 to open up the weekend. Things got better in their next match as they had no problems with #6 San Jose St., 12-5, thanks to three goals from KK Clark. Now 15-6 and 3-2 in conference, UCLA will be off this week.

Five games in three days capped non-conference play fr the #5 Bruins and they did it in style, taking all five. An eight run third to break a 3-3 tie is what the Bruins used to get past Long Beach St. for win number one on the week. A doubleheader versus UNLV went decisively in the Bruins favor as they picked up a pair of mercy rule wins, 8-0 and 11-3. The final doubleheader day was all UCLA as well thanks to 8-2 and 5-0 wins over LMU. A trip to consensus #1 Washington this weekend will start off Pac-10 play.

Women's Tennis

#5 UCLA didn't have too much trouble last weekend, picking up a pair of wins by a combined score of 13-1. First, the Bruins defeated Washington St, 7-0, and then backed that up with a dominating 6-1 win over #19 Washington. Now 16-2 and a perfect 3-0 in the Pac-10, the Bruins will play #10 Cal and #11 Stanford up north this weekend.

Men's Volleyball

Grand Canyon was no match for #8 UCLA last week, 30-17, 30-14, 30-20, but things got tougher when they went to play at #11 UC Irvine. The Bruins lost the opening set, but won the second, third and fifth set to defeat the Anteaters for their fourth consecutive win. Sitting at 14-9 overall and 9-7 versus the MPSF, UCLA will play second-ranked Pepperdine and seventh-ranked USC this week.

Men's Golf

The 11th ranked Bruins mustered an 11th place finish at the Collegiate Match Play Championships by beating Texas Tech in the fourth round. Gregor Main went the pro route last weekend by playing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and despite a two-under second round, the sophomore missed the cut by a stroke. The ASU Thunderbird is this week's tournament.

Men's Tennis

Not a single blemish last weekend for the #12 Bruins after taking care of both opponents, 7-0. #21 Washington was UCLA's first victim and Oregon was the Bruin's second victim for their third victory in a row. The 10-4, 2-0 Bruins will return home to play Boise St. before getting back to conference play versus #15 Stanford and #16 Cal this weekend.

Men's Track and Field

UCLA couldn't be touched at the Cal/Nevada Championships, finishing with 175 points, nearly 90 more than any other team in the meet. Marlon Patterson torched not just the field in the 1500m, but any other American, running the fastest time by an American in 2010. Randall Carroll won the 200m, finished second in the 100m and anchored the winning 4x100m relay team. The Texas Relays are this week.

Women's Track and Field

Four teams topped the Bruins, led by the winners Cal St. Northridge, at the Cal/Nevada Championships. UCLA finished fifth in the meet and will compete in the Cal Poly Invitational this week.
